At Sherdil IT Academy we say we have a 95% career success rate. This page explains exactly what that number means, who it includes and who it does not. A success rate is only useful if you know how it was counted.
95% of students who complete a Sherdil programme, earn their certification and then stay with us for six months of career support are now working in the industry or running their own startup. Of that group, 85% work at companies and 10% have started their own businesses.
What the 95% includes
We count a student when all three of these are true:
- They completed the full batch, not just part of it.
- They earned the certification their course prepares them for.
- They took part in the six months of career support that follows the course.
Success means one of two things: the student is now employed in the industry, or they are running their own startup.

What it does not mean
- It is not an exam pass rate. It measures what happens to students’ careers, not how many pass on the first attempt.
- It does not include students who leave a batch early or skip the career support.
- It is not a job guarantee. Signing up for a course is not enough on its own. The number reflects students who finished the course, got certified and used the career support.
What happens in the six months after the course
Once the course and certification are done, students move into career support. During those six months we help with:
- resume optimisation, so your skills and lab work read clearly to recruiters;
- interview preparation for cloud and DevOps roles;
- direct referrals to our network of 100+ hiring partners, including Systems Limited, Arbisoft and HBL.
If a student does not pass their certification exam, they get free additional training and support until they do.

Some examples
Muhammad Hassan was a network administrator when he joined our AWS 3in1 programme. He passed all three AWS certifications on his first attempt. Within six months of finishing the course he was working as an AWS Solutions Architect at a fintech company, on a salary 70% higher than before.
Ali Raza earned several cloud certifications with Sherdil and then started his own cloud consulting practice. He works with clients in Pakistan and abroad, mostly on Azure migration and optimisation projects. The practice now brings in more than PKR 400,000 a month.
Fatima Ahmed was a junior developer when she joined our DevOps bootcamp. After earning her certification she moved into a DevOps Engineer role. She built automated deployment pipelines that cut deployment time by 75%, and within eight months she was named employee of the quarter.
Corporate teams. Software houses including Systems Limited and Arbisoft have trained their development teams through Sherdil’s corporate programmes. Every participant in those programmes earned their certification.
How to judge any academy’s success rate
Whichever academy you choose, ask the questions we answer above:
- Who is counted: everyone who joined, or only those who finished?
- What counts as success: passing an exam, getting a job, or something else?
- Over what period is it measured?
- Can they put you in touch with recent graduates?
A number with clear answers to these questions tells you far more than a bigger number without them.
