Course Overview:
This practical training program is designed to introduce a beginner to Upwork and Fiverr. The course includes three sessions focused on Upwork and three sessions focused on Fiverr. Each session combines concept explanation, live demonstrations, hands-on activities, and homework so the student can apply what they learn.
SESSION 1 — Upwork Fundamentals & Profile Setup
- Understand what Upwork is and how the platform works.
- Learn about clients, freelancers, job posts, Connects, and proposals.
- Choose a suitable niche and clearly define the services to offer.
- Build or improve the profile title, overview, skills, and profile photo.
- Practical activity: Set up or optimize the student’s Upwork profile.
SESSION 2 — Job Search & Proposal Writing
- Find relevant jobs using search filters and keywords.
- Understand client requirements and identify the main project problem.
- Write personalized proposals instead of generic templates.
- Understand project budgets, Connects, and proposal boosting options.
- Practical activity: Review real job posts and write tailored proposals.
SESSION 3 — Client Conversion & Upwork Growth
- Communicate professionally with potential clients.
- Prepare concise answers to screening questions.
- Understand pricing, milestones, contracts, and basic project expectations.
- Recognize common scams and avoid mistakes that can risk an account.
- Practical activity: Conduct a mock client interview and create a 7-day action plan.
SESSION 4 — Fiverr Fundamentals & Gig Creation
- Understand Fiverr’s gig-based marketplace model.
- Select a niche and a clearly defined service.
- Create a gig title, choose a suitable category, and add relevant search tags.
- Set packages, pricing, delivery time, and service scope.
- Practical activity: Create the first Fiverr gig draft.
SESSION 5 — Fiverr SEO & Gig Optimization
- Research keywords relevant to the service and target buyers.
- Write a clear gig description and useful FAQs.
- Configure buyer requirements and instructions.
- Plan a professional gig thumbnail and relevant portfolio samples.
- Practical activity: Optimize the gig based on search intent and buyer needs.
SESSION 6 — Fiverr Orders, Client Communication & Growth
- Handle buyer messages and inquiries professionally.
- Understand custom offers and the order workflow.
- Manage delivery, revisions, and review requests appropriately.
- Understand Fiverr policies and account safety basics.
- Practical activity: Simulate an order, draft client replies, and build a simple action plan.
